HELLO!

I’m a freelance illustrator based in Brighton.

In my work, I enjoy translating emotions through visualising narratives, communicating new and different ways of looking at and understanding the world around us and our place within it. Inspired by our adventures within nature, I love using textures, bold colour, and senses of scale to create playful imagery that bring to life stories far and wide.

Creating work that explores our connection to people, place, nature and wellbeing, I am drawn to projects which aim to strike a balance between positivity and sensitivity.

My work has found home within editorial, packaging, publishing, design and mural projects alike!

SOME LOVELY THINGS CLIENTS HAVE SAID

"Working with Fay is such a pleasure. She is very creative and always open to comments. Receiving the end result of a collaboration in my mailbox always feels like a lovely gift." Karin Sonneveld, Flow Magazine.

“Fay's work has brought much needed colour and joy to an unloved part of Poole. This was a fast-paced complex project with multiple clients, however Fay was a joy to work with throughout, collaborating with the different partners to deliver the project on time. Fay's illustrations exceeded our expectations, she skillfully managed the daunting scale of the commission, mediating between the need to be eye-catching from a distance whilst also rewarding repeated viewing. The quality of her work and attention to detail, along with a passion for bringing to life points of local interest, has resulted in a series of murals that are already a source of local pride.” - David Pierce, Dallas-Pierce-Quintero, Commissioner on behalf of BCP Council.

"We loved working with Fay, she brought lots of ideas to the table and was responsive in developing the chosen idea into the perfect illustration for us." - Anna Serocold, Cog Design.

Fay was a delight to work with and produced a great final piece which we really loved. Fay’s communication was quick, easy and friendly, and she guided us through the process of commissioning, admin, feedback and output with great attention to detail and ease. It’s clear Fay cares about her clients and craft, taking the time to ask important questions and make suggestions that helped create a final piece of artwork that we were really proud of, and that really brought the brief to life. Fay’s unique illustration style brought something really special to our Christmas campaign and has been really well received. I would absolutely recommend working with Fay, and hope to collaborate with her again! - Alice Gilmore, Frontier Economics.
